With just a few more days of training at Nordic Heritage before departing to USCSA Nationals, the skiers from University of Maine at Presque Isle are working on final preparations. The event is being held in Winter Park, Colorado and features championship events in nordic, alpine and snowboarding. Between March 4th and the 10th there will be daily updates.

This photo was our slowed departure from Presque Isle to the Williams Carnival. It’s around 6:30 a.m. in this shot and we had been stuck two times even before anyone took a photo. It was the neighbor with a snow blower that got us out.

The Carni Crush Tradition

The Eastern Collegiate Ski scene is full of traditions. One of the favorite happens each year after the team relay at the Dartmouth Carnival and it’s called the “Carni Crush.” Individuals and teams alike create songs, poems, performances and art to be given in the spirit of St. Valentine.

Toussaint and Ostroot return from Jr. World Biathlon Championships

Meagan Toussaint and Brandan Ostroot return from Biathlon Junior World Championships today. They have been racing and training for the last three weeks in Martell, Italy.
